How do I get rid of "ghost" comment markers in a document?
I'm working on a Word document where various parties are inserting tracked
changes and comments. There are some places in the document where a character appears that looks like a comment marker, but there is no comment there. The character doesn't get copied if I mark the text and ctrl+c, but it does get printed. Any ideas of why this has happened and how I can get rid of it? Thanks, Karen. |

How do I get rid of "ghost" comment markers in a document?
Hi there,
I've solved it! If you press the "show editing marks" button, the empty comment will show up next to the "ghost" comment mark, and you can then right-click that comment and delete it. That option isn't available unless edition marks are visible. Thanks anyway, Karen. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Could it be the indicator of a bookmark?
