Print preview shoud reflect all chosen print options
When you check Tools | Options... | tab Print | Print data only for forms,
Print preview still shows the entire document. This should not be so. In addition, there is no way to preview what you select in the File | Print... | Print what-list. I suggest that the Print what-list is moved to Tools | Options... | tab Print. This way you keep the print options in one place (why, for example, do you have to go to Tools | Options... if you want field codes in your print, but do you have to go to File | Print... if you want to include track changes), and the selection of the Print what list can be previewed as well. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Print preview shoud reflect all chosen print options
I would second your suggestion that Print Preview always be WYSIWYG. I'm not
sure I agree with the second suggestion, however. The Print Options are intended to be for more or less permanent options for a given document (and most apply to all documents), while the "Print what" choice is for a single print run, in the same way that the page range or number of copies is set for a specific print run. FWIW, if you use the Print (FilePrintDefault) button while you are in Final Showing Markup view, the markup will print; in order to print without the markup, you have to either switch to Final view or choose "Document" instead of "Document with markup" in the Print dialog. -- Suzanne S.
