Default Why tables moving to different pages and overlapping other tables

It's a Word 2000 document. This happens when I make changes to the number of
lines in the table or delete text outside of the tables. It also happens
when the document is sent as an e-mail attachment. I think it must be
something to do with anchoring?

For each problem table, do this: Click Table | Table Properties. On the
Table tab, make sure that "Text wrapping" is set to "None."
