I have a heading 1 style for appendices. In the document, they show up as
Appendix A, Appendix B, etc. If I put a table in an appendix, I would like
the caption to be numbered A-1, similarly to the way they are numbered in the
main body of the document, where they are tied to heading 1. However, the
one table in an appendix is being numbered 10-6, instead of G-1. Can this be
fixed so that tables are numbered and updated automatically?

I am using Word 2003.
