where are documents saved when opened from the internet?
Here's the scenario:
I opened a word document from the internet (this is for a college class). I made changes to it. I clicked on "save." I closed Word. Where would that file be saved? I checked the directory listed in the File Recovery list, but it's not there. Any suggestions? |

It is "saved" in a temporary directory. This is one reason, of a number of
reasons, to not open Word files directly from an email. Instead, save the attachment to your hard drive, so you know where it is. Then open it from within Word. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
