Default How can I share a custom dictionary with another XP machine?

In Word 2003, I have created a dictionary of several hundred words in my
vintage XP Pro laptop. I found and copied the file to my new XP Home machine
but cannot find what program will open and decode it beyond a set of squares
and dots. What am I doing wrong?

Just copy the Custom.dic file into the appropriate folder on the new
machine. How to find out what this folder is? Do a search for "Custom.dic"
(in your user profile) on the new machine and replace it with the one you
copied.
