Hi there

My client has been using word documents with embedded excel sheets for some
time but they have suddenly stopped showing. What we get now is an {EMBED
Excel.Sheet.8} message where the excel graphic used to be. Other users in the
office can view the documents as normal. As far i know nothing has changed
and i cant find much help on the web. I can right click on this message
goto worksheet obeject & click open and i can see the excel file but this
isnt much use like this.

Funnily enough when i was searching on the web for an answer to this problem
i can across a webpage which supposedly had embedded excel docs in it but the
same sort of {EMBED.Excel... } message was showing.

Any help appreciated.

1. Check Tools Options, on the View tab uncheck Field codes (if checked).

2. To toggle field codes off and on, use Alt + F9.
