Default font and size
Is there a way to change the default Font that Word opens a blank document
with other than Times New Roman. And also to be set for a larger font? |

Default font and size
Yes. Open the font dialog box (Format-font from the menu bar for all
versions of word that have TNR as the default font) change the font and font size to your preferences and then click the Default button at the bottom left, it will ask if you want this to change for all new documents, click yes and there you go...
