Default Forms in Word

How can I create a form in a Word document that will enable me to protect
the document while allowing people to input information into a specific place
(i.e. filling in their name)? And while you're at it, can you tell me where
to go to input the list of information that will be used in the "drop-down
form field" box in Word.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm and
especially the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,
