Default Where is the arrow/function that returned to previous position

In Word 97-2003, there was an arrow that would return the cursor to the
prvious position. The arrow is gone from the toolbar: does that funtion
exist? Thanks

Perhaps you're referring to the Back button on the Web toolbar? Shift+F5
will take you to the previous edit position; Alt+Left Arrow will take you
back to the jumping-off point of a hyperlink (same as the Back button).
