How do I stop Word requesting a virus scan when opening a documen
Microsoft Word does not come with a virus scanning function built in, so
you should direct your question to the unnamed maker of your antivirus software. If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, then try disabling the Office Plugin that comes with it as described in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in". Try this:
1. Search for Normal.dot file (include hidden files) 2. Rename the file to Normal.old This worked for me |
