Mail merge toolbar
I'm trying to do mail merge using VB6 and Word 2003.
Everything seems to work fine, but whem I activate the document the mail merge toolbar is disabled. It seems that the document 'lost' the connection to the database.. If I use, for example, word 2002, everything works fine? Can anyone gave me an idea of what could this be? |

Hi Bruna,
I'm trying to do mail merge using VB6 and Word 2003. Everything seems to work fine, but whem I activate the document the mail merge toolbar is disabled. It seems that the document 'lost' the connection to the database.. If I use, for example, word 2002, everything works fine? MOst likely, this is the Word 2003 security. If you opened the Word document manually, you'd see a message; when you automate this, the message is suppressed, but the data source unlinked. See this KB article: "Opening This Will Run the Following SQL Command" Message When You Open a Word Document - 825765 http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=825765 Cindy Meister INTER-Solutions, Switzerland http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister (last update Jun 8 2004) http://www.word.mvps.org This reply is posted in the Newsgroup; please post any follow question or reply in the newsgroup and not by e-mail :-) |
