Everytime I open a word file attachment from email or the web, it comes up in
some type of code rather than in English. It didn't use to do this. How do
I get things back to normal?

email application? Version of Word (and email application)?

Does the attachment open in Word proper? If you save the attachment
first to your HD and open it from there, any changes?
