Default Converting a .wps file to word

I recently downloaded a file and it is a works file. I do not have works on
my computer and have installed the converter but can not open it in word. Do
I have to have works to convert it to word, or is there another way I can
open the file?

If it's just one file, I'll convert it for you. Email to anne@ the second

Which converter did you install - there are different converters for the
various Works versions - try the downloads page of my web site.
