word misrecognized as plural
I have a word "TS" (technical term) which since it is in capital letters
msword doesn't flag as wrong. However, msword thinks that TS represents a single entity (and not plural) so when I use a sentence like: "I bought a TS" then the "a TS" part gets flagged in green (grammar error) since I supposedly should write "I bought TS" like TS is plural. This has something to do with the S since for example if I'd use "I bought a TR" it won't be flagged. Strangely enough the word GS for example is recognized as single. The TS term appears many times in my text and I really hate having my text all "greened" and the alternative to tell msword to ignore each individual case is very annoying. Does anyone know how to teach msword that KS is plural? I am using msword 2002. |

Have you tried adding TS to your custom dictionary? Not sure if that would
help, but it's worth a try. Since Word isn't flagging it as misspelled, you can approach this in one of two ways: 1. Temporarily clear the check box for "Ignore words in caps," let Word mark it, then right-click and choose "Add to dictionary." 2. Edit the dictionary directly by opening it from the Spelling & Grammar tab. -- Suzanne S.
