Default problem in opening word documents done 2000

I am having licenses version of office 2003. I am finding some problems with
the word. I could not open some word documents created on office 2000. The
error message is file corruption.I have tried the option open and repair .It
works for some and not for all.

Can you still open these documents on an installation with Word 2000? If yes,
try saving them as web pages (*.htm) or in RTF format and see if Word 2003 can
open them like that.
