Default Restarting page numbering not in header/footer

I am putting page numbering in a mutiple section document and I need to
restart the numbering at 1 for each section in a x of y format, I got the
[sectionpages] in the y but how dow I set the code on the x?

My problem is that the page number is not located in the header or footer, it
is in the body of the page. How do I address the restart when it is located
here.

Same way. You still do it from Format Page Number, which you can access
either from the Header and Footer toolbar or from Insert | Page Numbers:
Format.

Suzanne...thank you, thank you, thank you!! I got it to work. I had trouble
getting it to locate in the body of the doc, so I did InsertPager Number and
did a restart, then I dragged the code from the footer to the body! thanks
again...this save me a great deal of time.
