Default keyboard shortcuts, changing to default for another language

You could get access to the Danish shortcuts by assigning them to the
relevant commands one by one via Tools Options Keyboard button. Make sure
that €śSave changes in€ť is set to Normal.dot.

However, you should not assign a specific shortcut if it has already been
assigned to another command (your boyfriend may want to keep his shortcuts€¦)
- therefore, pay attention if the information €śCurrently assigned to€ť does
not say €śUnassigned€ť.

In the Customize dialog box, you can locate commands found in the individual
menus of the Menu Bar by selecting the menu name in the Categories list (e.g.
File). All commands in that menu will then be listed in the Commands list. In
general, the command names start with the menu name, e.g. FilePrint. To find
other types of commands, it may be easiest to select All Commands in the
Categories list. You will then find, e.g. Bold and Italic in the Commands
list.

To save Normal.dot after you have assigned the shortcuts, press and hold the
Shift key while you select File Save All. If a dialog box opens, asking
whether to save changes to Normal.dot, click Yes.

For general information about assigning shortcuts, see this article:

Og sĂĄ lige en lille hilsen pĂĄ dansk. Held og lykke med det! Hvis du synes,
det er for besværligt at oprette de danske shortcuts, kan du sikkert hurtigt
lære de engelske.

I guess StineMS is talking about the accelerator keys which are interface
language dependent (Alt+F for the File menu, etc. - I don't know the Danish
equivalent off the top of my head) and there isn't any easy way round the
problem. I suppose if you have different userids in Windows, you could set
up a global template on a per-user basis, containing the Danish shortcuts
but it is probably less work to learn the English shortcuts if you know the
language.
