Default extracting problem

I am trying to extract a pdf into either a word or powerpoint document that I
can make changes to, to the text. Any ideas on how to do this.

PDF is a graphical representation of a document intended to avoid such
editing. Neither Word nor Powerpoint can convert PDf to editable text.

You *may* be able to create an editable document if you save it as Word
format from the full version of Acrobat, but the resulting document will at
best contain text in frames which are difficult to edit. There are third
party conversion tools available or you could use PDF compatible OCR
software such as Finereader 9.
