Default Office 2007 trial--something must be wrong here

I just installed a trial version of Office 2007 and I can't save any
document---I cant even type into the blank document. I get the following
message:
This modification is not allowed because the selection is locked.

What do I need to do to be allowed to actually type into a word processor? I
am used to being able to do this.... I'm hoping that you can actually do that
in the trial version.

You can, but you must first activate the trial version. Go to Office Button
| Word Options | Resources and click Activate.

OK thanks. That did it. I typed in the serial number before, as soon as
installation had completed. Not sure why it would install to a half-way state
(as it did before), but its all ok now.
