Default how to do "auto-fill" with numbers in Word 2000 like in Excel?

If I want to number labels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) up to 300, can I do an "auto-fill"
in Word like you can do in Excel?

It's possible that the Merge Record # or Merge Sequence # field will give
you what you want, assuming you're doing this using Word's mailmerge
feature.

But, as Suzanne's answer indicates, Word doesn't have a capability akin to
Excel's.
