Default TOC issue

We have a very large management document that several people have added to
after the original document was created. So other have added their full
documents to the original document. This messes up the TOC fromt he original
document. How do I set up the TOC so that the other documents that have
sub-TOC doesn't show up on the main document. Is their an easy way to do this?

You can bookmark the text you want in the TOC and use the \b switch to
include just the bookmarked text. See
