office 2003 save as pdf?
I've been told you can do this w/o any add-ins or extra software -- but can't
figure out how. (in Word Perfect, its as easy as "file/ publish to/ pdf"). Thanxs a Million! |

I use cutepdf which you can download for free from the Internet. Not as
powerful or flexible as Adobe Acrobat, but the price is right. To use it (and most other utilities) you install the utility and it gives you a pdf printer driver. Then in any application you print to that printer and end up with a pdf file instead of a piece of paper. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. You were told wrong. Word can only do this with the aid of third party
software. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org union-label wrote: I've been told you can do this w/o any add-ins or extra software -- but can't figure out how. (in Word Perfect, its as easy as "file/ publish to/ pdf"). Thanxs a Million! |

OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org) can do this, it's free, Free, and compatible with MS Office. Thank me afterwards if it works or hit me in the face if it doesn't. ;-) |

Word does not have this capability built in. You'd need to purchase and
install Adobe Acrobat. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along. http://www.herbtyson.com wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- I've been told you can do this w/o any add-ins or extra software -- but can't figure out how.
