Starting a footer on a different page
I have a manual of procedures which start on page 5. The first 4 pages
contain cover page, and table of contents. I managed to set page 5 as page 1 of 131 but the rest of the document says 1 of 131. I tried changing the setting of the footer to say, "same as previous section" but the sections are spread out random. How can i have it update the page number after page 1. I even changed where it says, from this point forward. |

Starting a footer on a different page
I think you may need to look at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/PageNumbering.htm and especially http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...rontMatter.htm. If your numbers are restarting at 1 in each section, go to Format Page Number and choose "Continue from previous section." -- Suzanne S.
