Default scan into WORD

I have a certificate that I want to give out to a group of people that
took a class and passed. I only have 25 certificates but 70 people.
I would like to scan the certificate into Word and then be able to
input the names of the group and then print the certificates.
I have been able to scan the certificate, but not been able to input
the names.
Can anyone suggest a way to do this?

Thanks,

DOTman

Choose Insert, Text Box and move your cursor to where you want the text to
appear on top of the certificate "image". Type your text. Select the text box
and format same to change the font, colour, background colour etc.

Hi dotman-

Joey's suggestion is fine if you insist on using the scanned certificate.
One additional thought on that is that you may want to save the finished
product as a Template for future use.

Another approach if you will need to do this frequently would be to use your
certificate 'image' in the Header/Footer (or as a Background in Word 2003 -
just be sure to set your Print option to include Background Colors and
Images). Then put the recipient data in a Table, Excel file as a data source
and use merge fields in the main doc so you can merge to create the finished
certificates.

Also, if you aren't locked into the certificate you planned to use, you
might want to take a look at the Templates avail on the MS website

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...tion=OF&Ver=11

and do a search for 'certificate' or 'award.

Thanks, guys.
I appreciate the help.
I'll try it both ways to see which will be the best for me.
