Student and Teacher EULA
Hello
I have some friends who have a version of Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 which they are licenced to use on their home computer as their son is a student. They were told by the person who sold them the suite that they would be able to use it for their personal home business information (for filing purposes) as long as they didn't use the templates on it for any business things. Since they run their business from home and they only have one computer they will only be installing it on that (even though the licence is for 3). Is this true? The EULA didn't seem toallow for that. Thanks for your wisdom David |

Student and Teacher EULA
The EULA states:
"Installation and use. You may install a copy of the Software on three personal computers or other devices in your household for non-commercial use by people who reside in your household." and "(b) The license granted herein for use of the Software is a personal learning license intended only for noncommercial purposes by Qualified Educational Users and members of the same household as the Qualified Educational User. No one may use this Software for any commercial purpose or in any way related to the operation of any business enterprise or revenue-generating activities. Even tho their use violates the EULA, are you prepared to turn in your friends? (I'm not saying you shouldn't. I'm just warning you that if you do, you will probably lose their freindship.) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "David" wrote in message ... Student and Teacher EULA
Thanks for that.
I was asking because they asked me if they would have to buy another copy for their work stuff. David "JoAnn Paules [MVP]" wrote: The EULA states: "Installation and use. Student and Teacher EULA
I'm glad to hear they want to do it the right way. Too many people are
willing to ignore the rules. Thank your friends for me. :-) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "David" wrote in message ...
