Stopping page-breaks in tables
So I know how to prevent individual rows within tables from breaking
over pages, but how to do it with a whole table? With paragraphs of text you can variously use "keep with next" or "keep lines together", but neither of these has any effect with a table AFAICS? Am I missing something? Thanks David |

As you probably understand, you cannot keep a table bigger than a page on one page for obvious reasons: and there must be room for not only the table but a following paragraph mark immediately under the table on that page too. To keep a smaller table on one page by itself, you need to format keep lines together AND keep with next paragraph properties. Then the table will stay complete on a page. -- Terry Farrell - Word MVP http://word.mvps.org/ "Lobster" wrote in message ... : So I know how to prevent individual rows within tables from breaking : over pages, but how to do it with a whole table? : : With paragraphs of text you can variously use "keep with next" or "keep : lines together", but neither of these has any effect with a table AFAICS? : : Am I missing something? : : Thanks : David |

"Keep lines together" has no effect in a table, and "Keep with next" has no
effect within a row. You must disable "Allow rows to break" *and* use KWN between rows. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFm...ksInTables.htm -- Suzanne S.
