How can I troubleshoot shortcut keys for international characters?
When I open "symbols" in Microsoft Office Word 2003 and try to assign a new
shortcut key to the "É" ("E" with accent; character code 00C9) in Spanish, the program will not show me the existing shortcut key combination in the "Press new shortcut key" box, so that I may modify it, which is what I wish to do. I am using the Latin American keyboard setup, but I wouldn't think that this would cause me to be unable to type in a new key combination at all. Please let me know if you know how I could reassign the shortcut key for this character. |
