Please Put back Autotext / autocomplete in 2007... what R U thinki
Actually, AutoText is not at all missing from Word 2007. Instead, the
feature has expanded; there is now support for so-called building blocks, which can be stored in different galleries and provides a way to quickly add predefined contents to headers, footers, text boxes, etc. AutoText still exists as one of those galleries. What does no longer exist is the ability to use AutoComplete with AutoText / building blocks. To insert a building block, just type its name and then press F3. Alternatively, to keep insertion automatic, you can make use of a formatted AutoCorrect entry instead. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "hotmail problems" wrote in message news As I've been reading, the auto-text was a major essential business tool. And for MSN to remove this feature is astounding. How could they be so careless? Maybe it is a way for them to fill up the Office 2007 instruction classes and make more $$$$? They need to fix this feature, but of course beware whenever they open it up and fix something then something else will go haywire. |
