Default I have brought a new computer, do I need to buy another copy of Wo

I have just brought a new computer and am about to throw away my old one, as
it's basically junk now. My old Computer has Word 2000 but becasuse I got it
as part of a package and never got the software CD for it, though I assume I
bought the licence and am intitled to have a copy on my new computer?? How do
I go about doing that?

Generally, preinstalled/OEM copies of Word and Office cannot be
transferred to another computer. The license dies with the
computer that the software came on. That's one of the reasons
why preinstalled/OEM copies of Word and Office are less expensive
than retail copies, which are transferable.
