I am using Word 97 upwards.

I have a template with formfields & checkboxes on. On other pages there are
cross references to these fields all with unique names that update. The
cross refences for the formfields are updating but the checkboxes are not,
they are enabled.

Can anyone assist with a solution, please?

What sort of cross-references for the checkboxes? Ordinary REF fields don't
work with checkboxes, according to my recollection.

I assume that the box to calculate on exit is checked for each of your
source checkbox fields.

Take a look at the Checkbox template available at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/downl...#CheckboxAddIn. It includes a
document with macros showing how to use macros to mimic a REF field and
works in Word 97.
