Default Multiple Page Numbers on a Single Page

I am making a handbook where I plan to cut the pages after they are printed.
I have it set up in landscape and spilt into 2 columns. I would like each
column on each page to have a page number. This would require 2 page numbers
for a single page according to Word. How would I do this?

When I do this it gives me a "Syntax Error" message. What am I doing wrong?

Did you insert all fields using Ctrl+F9?
