Default emailing documents

My Word documents sometimes cannot be received. Is PDF the easiest format to
email?

I'm not real sure what you mean by "cannot be received". Do you mean the
recipient doesn't have Word? If that's what you mean, then sending a .pdf is
a good alternative.
