Document format changed upon updating table of contents
When I added a table of contents to a 53 page document, the formatting of the
content of the actual document changed. It started including an outlining format in undefined places, such as on already blank lines or at the beginning of randomly chosen lines. The outlining includes points like Article I or Section 1.04, or (a) and (b), etc. Is this a normal behavior for the table of contents function in Microsoft Word? Is there any way to keep Word from doing this upon table of contents updates? |
