How do I convert a series of underscores to a fill in field?
I have a Word document where a series of underscore characters was used to
create "blanks" to be filled in when the document is printed. I would like to convert to a fill-in form but there seems to be no way to replace the underscores with a text field of equal length with a "frame" consisting of a single line at the bottom. Everything I have tried completely destroys the formatting / layout. I cannot believe that no one has run across this before and that it should be so difficult as people must have been converting old "print, fill out and sign" forms to "fill in, print and sign" forms for some time now.
