Default Font question?

Hi, I posted a question re font types yesterday and I received an email to
say a member of the MS community had replied but I can not find the post???

It was a question relating to Word 2003. I have a custom font in a document
and if I try to insert text it defaults the next text to Times New Roman. In
older versions of Office when you inserted the text it remained at the custom
font. Any ideas, why has this changed in 2003?

Thanks
Sue

Additional info - This works ok in Excel and Powerpoint 2003 also. It just
seems to be Word that alters the font back to Times New Roman.

In the email you received, I think there is a link to the post that you
can click on. I see that you replied to the MS community member, so you
were apparently able to find it.

Yes thanks, the link failed with unable to find discussion group or something
similar. I found it by searching the groups manually eventually.... Although
it didn't answer my question :-(. Shame you can't search for all your own
posts or can you?

It is possible to search for posts. Below where it says "Discussions in
Word General Questions", type SJH in the "Search For" box, change "Word
General Questions" to "Word" or "Office" if desired, and click on "Go".
This will search the Word General Questions newsgroup, or all of the
Word newsgroups, or all of the Office newsgroups for posts that contain
SJH in the author's name or subject. The search will return a maximum
of 100 posts. If you click on "Help" to the right of the Passport
SignIn box, you'll find more instructions on how to use the web
interface.
