why does an open file in word 2000 take 50% of my processor time?
After a word file, doc or rtf, gets passed a certain (unknown) size processor
usage leaps to around 50%. Using word 2000 with XP home. Any ideas? |

issue. How much RAM do you have, what OS, which version of Word? If this is the case, try doing regular saves of your document and it may help. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
