Default adobe pdf plug in

I am having trouble creating a pdf from the Adobe pdf plug in on Word 2003.
It locks up and I have to close the file. I can create a pdf using file,
print; but it's easier with the plug in icon.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the correct version of the add-in for the Acrobat version for
Word 2003?
If so - see http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm with respect to
conflicting add-ins - and
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm for background.

How do I check and see if I have the correct version?
