The tools are the same as the ones in Word 2003 -- you mark entries with XE fields, and then insert an INDEX field where you want the index to appear. The tools can be found on the References ribbon, in the Index group (near the right end of the ribbon). Does Microsoft 2007 have indexing capabilities?
Yes, it does. You'll find the dialog somewhere on the Insert menu, probably
as "Index and Tables". I think it was in Word 2002 that indexing and tables of contents were stuffed under the Insert Reference menu item with footnotes and cross-references. The fields themselves haven't changed much since Word 6.0, or maybe earlier. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
