Good point. Which illustrates yet again why it is helpful to have
nonprinting characters displayed when troubleshooting this type of problem. -- Suzanne S. "F A L" wrote in message ... Maybe the reason why there are still some p marks is because a p mark is not followed immediately by another p mark, but by a blank space and only then by another paragraph mark. In that case looking for "^p^p" will miss them; you'll need to find "^p ^p". "thelisha" wrote: Thank you for the tip, it helped in deleting some of the paragraph spacing. There are still some marks but at least not as many as before. This document has really been worked on and I have been tasked with fixing it up so any useful tip like this really comes in handy. Thanks! Thelisha "Daiya Mitchell" wrote: You can find and replace 2 paragraph marks with 1, by clicking the More button in the Find and Replace dialog, and using the Special menu. This is causing all sorts of trouble to edit and format because blank spaces keep appearing at the top of the pages along with other strange formatting appearing where it should not. Is there a way in Word 2003 to remove all of these "hard reutrns" or will I have to manually go through the document to delete them? I honestly hope there is a way because the document is 300+ pages! So any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Thelisha -- Daiya Mitchell, MVP Mac/Word Word FAQ: http://www.word.mvps.org/ MacWord Tips: http://www.word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/ What's an MVP?
