Default Scissor symbol

In Insert Symbol (the Omega icon), set the Unicode range to
"Dingbats," and (if a suitable font is installed in your computer) the
first four characters will be a variety of scissors.

Or, type any of the following sequences of four digits and then Alt-X:

2701, 2702, 2703, or 2704

If a scissors doesn't appear, then you need to download a font
containing the range.

There may be other varieties of scissors lurking in other places.
There may be one in the old Symbol font, but that's not incorporated
in Unicode so it might not survive being moved to another computer.
