Default Pasting from Excel to Word

Scenario:
1. Paste a table from Excel to Word (highlight, copy and paste)
2. Using the new paste options tag in 2003 choose Match Destination
Table and Link to Excel
3. Go back to Excel and add another row in the table or another column
4. The Word table is updated with the new row or column but LOSES a row
or column!!! The update overwrites rows/columns and seems to be trying
to keep to the same size as pasted. This is awful.
What can we do???

Did you try using paste special-paste link and then the format you
want...this should allow you to go back to excel and add a row or
column without losing any other information. It should not try to keep
it the same size.

Hope this helps
