Why can't I write over text that is selected?
When I highlight text I cannot type over what is highlighted. Instead the new
text I have typed is inserted before the highlighted text. Also when I highlight text and press backspace the text is not deleted. However pressing Delete will delete the text. Any suggestions for a fix? |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK. Shaun wrote: When I highlight text I cannot type over what is highlighted. Instead the new text I have typed is inserted before the highlighted text.
