My data source is a list of vendors that I would like to create mailmerge
letters for - one letter per vendor listing the check numbers they have
recieved - so I will need to combine records because some vendors have more
than one check.

Do read the tutorial before trying to use the mailmerge document included
with it as you must get the mail merge main document set up exactly as
required.
