If you turn on your non-printing characters you will see why it's there.
Chances are there are multiple ¶ characters in there. Start deleting them. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "Kathy" wrote in message ... |

I would still suggest turning them on. You'll be surprised to see your
documents "dirty little secrets", like extra returns instead of using spacing, multiple spaces, multiple tabs instead of setting the correct length, etc. Once you get used to seeing them, you may never want to return to the dark side. ;-) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "Kathy" wrote in message ... How do you delete a blank page in the middle of a word document?
Kathy, Some easy things to look at first – if you go into “Normal” view. An ordinary page break that Word has put in shows as a line of dots. • you will be able to easily see if you have a manual page break next to an ordinary page break (there will be a line of dots with the word “Page break”). If you have, put the cursor on the line and press delete to get rid of it. • You might have a deliberate section break starting on an odd (or even) page • If you just see two ordinary page breaks together you will have to search for a reason. eg. If you have two lines of dots together followed by a header, then it’s possible that you have naturally come to the end of a page but have a header which is preceded by a page throw. If the page breaks are widely separated you could have any number of ‘invisible’ characters – including carriage returns – all of these should delete normally. If you go into Tools, Options, View and tick “All” in formatting marks you will be able to see them Yours Sandra -- Sandra Williams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sandra Williams's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6085 View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1356962 Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in |

Posting in HTML causes ugly posts when you're reading in plain text mode.

How do you delete a blank page in the middle of a word document?
For more on the non-printing characters, what they mean & how to use them
effectively you might find this link helpful: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NonPrintChars.htm Behavior of graphic objects v. the text flow of your document is a somewhat more complex matter, but you can get a good start on it here as well as the other links on the page: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/drwgrphcs/Wrapping.htm Pay particular attention to the distinction between In Line & "Floating" graphics. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "Kathy" wrote in message ... |
