Footnotes and endnotes
Word 2007
When I use an abbreviation such as ABC, I insert a footnote to explain what ABC means. This is footnote 1. If I use the ABC abbrevation again on the page, I want it to refer to the same footnote. But on the second usage of ABC, if I insert a footnote, Excel makes the abbrevation ABC refer to footnote 2. I want it to refer to footnote 1. I haven't found a way to change the 2 to a 1. Any ideas? Thanks, Tyro |

Instead of a footnote, use Insert | Reference | Cross-reference to "Footnote

I was hoping so, since I was unaware that Excel had footnotes!
