Default Reference to table in a document

Hi

I want to reference a table/figure in a document. When I do this word by
default inserts the 'object table', so the reference looks like: Table no.
1. Is there a switch that allows to get rid off the object name. I only want
to keep the number.

Kind regards
IgorM

see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/CombineXrefs.htm on how to display the
number only for cross-reference fields.
