Default keeping formatting consistent when using different computers?

If several people are working on a project and it all needs to be inserted
into one large Word document, what is the best program to use? The format
jumps about too much from computer to computer.

Your best plan is to ensure all contributors are at least using the same
template and the same printer driver.
