Default how can i convert windows 2007 to go with windows 2003

Networking the PCs seems the obvious solution. If both PCs have a network
card (and if they don't you can pick one up for peanuts from eBay), all you
really need is a crossover network cable to connect them).

the only printer that works in my house is connected to a computer
that doesnt have an internet connection so im stuck with word 2003 on

out on word has word 2007 and whenever i want to print the 2007 word
document wont even show up on word 2003 can someone help please

If you have a home network so that the two computers can communicate,
you can enable Windows File and Print Sharing on the Word 2003
computer and share the printer. Then run the Add Printer wizard on
the Word 2007 computer and add the printer as a networked printer.
With that setup you can select the printer on the other computer as
the default printer on the Word 2007 computer, and just print
normally.
Or maybe you should move the printer from one computer to the other.

Otherwise, you have two choices:

- In Word 2007, save the document in Word 97-2003 format. That's on
the "Save as type" dropdown in the Save As dialog, or you click the
Office button, hover over the Save As item, and choose Word 97-2003
Document from the menu. The document will open in Word 2003, but some
of the new features (such as SmartArt) won't be completely
preserved. When you save in the older format, Word 2007 will tell you
about any changes it has to make.
- Download and install the Office 2007 Compatbility Pack on the
computer that has Word 2003. It's at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...3-C6BB74CD1466.
This will let Word 2003 open documents that are saved in Word 2007
format. Again, some of the new features won't be preserved if you
edit the document and then take it back to Word 2007. Just printing
it shouldn't have any problems.
