Printing to a printer shared through a wireless connection
Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel (2003 basic, came bundled with a
Dell laptop), shuts down and sends an error message whenever I try to print to a printer that is connected through a wireless home network. (Printer is HP 2600 color laser). It prints okay to a printer directly connected. Other programs print okay to the HP. Issue appears to be limited to the Office-HP connection. |

Printing to a printer shared through a wireless connection
Sorry I don't have an answer but I do have a work around. It seems I have
the same problem printing from a Word document before logging on to a user account on the desktop that is tied into the printer. No problem anytime else. A test page prints fine. I have found that once I log on to a user account, I can print from the laptop when in Word without any problems. Printing to a printer shared through a wireless connection
My desktop computer is always on, (with the program icons on the display), so
I am already logged onto that computer as a user? Is there another location or place that I should be logged in on as a user? Thanks. No, your right where I suggested. I have multple users on my computer. XP
allows each one to have their own account so they can customize their views. Once a user logs on, they see the same thing you see, the program icons. Sorry it didn't work for you. I am going to investigate whether an Office Service Pack update addressed this type of problem. I'll let you know if I come across anything.
